Dr. Mark Hamanishi
Certified Specialist in Orthodontics
Dr. Mark grew up in Surrey and earned his undergraduate degree in Nutritional Sciences from UBC. He received his DMD from Boston University and completed his Orthodontic specialization at the University of Pittsburgh. After a 6-year adventure practicing in Calgary, AB, he moved back home to BC to continue serving families in his community.
For the past 5 years, Dr. Mark has focused his Orthodontic skillset on clear aligner therapy for all ages, treating hundreds of complex malocclusions each year using Invisalign®. He also started his own Invisalign® mentoring company, using his expertise to remotely guide general dentists in treating their own patients.
Outside the office, Dr. Mark balances out his nerdiness by playing golf (keyword – ‘trying’), running (he’s even run a marathon), and playing soccer. He has two rambunctious kiddos and is married to his equally nerdy high school sweetheart.
Dr. Mark believes in using the latest digital technology and can’t wait to reveal your new smile at your consultation using our 3D scanner and instant smile simulator. Super nerdy stuff, but that’s our orthodontist!
Dr. Ehsan Taheri – General Dentist
Little bit about me – I grew up in Vancouver, Richmond and North Vancouver. I attended UBC for both my undergrad and dentistry graduating in 2011. Back in 2013 we moved to North Vancouver and been raising our family of 5 right here in Lynn valley. We love it here and its sense of community.
My philosophy as a dentist is to treat all the patients the same way I’d treat my own family. Provide the most comprehensive and patient centred care that keeps the patient involved in the decision making process. Communication is key and I truly believe use of technology and imagery helps bring you the patient into the fold when it comes to treatment planning.
My special interest is in dental implants and grafting. I still enjoy other aspects of general dentistry though. Looking forward to meeting you at the clinic.
Dr. Sara Sassani – General Dentist
Dr. Sara Sassani received her Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of British Columbia. She enjoys building a connection with her patients and is committed to making their dental experience comfortable. Dr. Sassani likes treating children of all ages and teaching the importance of maintaining good oral health. Aside from her work, she enjoys hiking, reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
