Dr. Mark Hamanishi
Dr. Mark Hamanishi is absolutely thrilled to join the Guildford Town Centre Orthodontics team!
Dr. Mark grew up in Surrey and earned his undergraduate degree in Nutritional Sciences from UBC. He then moved to Boston where he received his DMD from Boston University and then to Pittsburgh where he completed his Orthodontic specialization at the University of Pittsburgh. He enjoyed a 6-year adventure practicing in Calgary, AB before moving back home to BC.
After several years approaching Orthodontics from all facets, Dr. Mark has spent the past 5 years focusing his Orthodontic skillset on clear aligner therapy for all ages and he treats hundreds of complex malocclusions each year using Invisalign®. Two years ago, he started his own Invisalign® mentoring company where he uses his expertise to remotely guide general dentists in the treatment of their own patients.
Dr. Ehsan Taheri
Little bit about me – I grew up in Vancouver, Richmond and North Vancouver. I attended UBC for both my undergrad and dentistry graduating in 2011. Back in 2013 we moved to North Vancouver and been raising our family of 5 right here in Lynn valley. We love it here and its sense of community.
My philosophy as a dentist is to treat all the patients the same way I’d treat my own family. Provide the most comprehensive and patient centred care that keeps the patient involved in the decision making process. Communication is key and I truly believe use of technology and imagery helps bring you the patient into the fold when it comes to treatment planning.
My special interest is in dental implants and grafting. I still enjoy other aspects of general dentistry though. Looking forward to meeting you at the clinic.
Dr. Sara Sassani
Dr. Sara Sassani received her Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of British Columbia. She enjoys building a connection with her patients and is committed to making their dental experience comfortable.

next steps: what to expect
Step 1: Your First Visit Is All About You
We will start with complimentary photos and orthodontic X-rays to assess your bite and jaw. You’ll then meet with one of our orthodontists to review your records and discuss your needs. Your and your family dentist will also get a report copy to keep.
Step 2: Personalized Recommendations
If treatment is not needed you can join our free recall program. If treatment is recommended, we’ll walk you through all your options and provide you with a detailed financial package. You can review everything comfortably and make the best decision for your smile!
Step 3: What to Expect With Appointments
We value your time! Your first appointment is about 30–60 mins. Once you’re in treatment, most follow‑up visits are just around 20 mins. Our goal is to keep each visit efficient, informative, and always centered on your comfort and care.
